Rotolo di Sapore began as a passion project inspired by Chef Isabella Russo’s deep-rooted love for Italian cuisine and her dream of bringing an authentic taste of Italy to Seattle. Growing up in an Italian-American family, Isabella was immersed in the flavors and traditions of her heritage. After years spent honing her craft in Italy and New York, she envisioned a restaurant where Seattle locals could experience Italy’s warmth and culinary depth. Nestled in the heart of the city, Rotolo di Sapore celebrates tradition with a modern touch, inviting guests to savor the essence of Italy in every bite.

Chef Isabella Russo

Chef Isabella Russo is the heart and soul behind Rotolo di Sapore. Growing up in an Italian-American family in New York, Isabella was immersed in Italian culinary traditions from a young age, learning the art of pasta-making and classic Italian recipes from her grandmother. With her roots firmly planted in family traditions and a passion for authentic flavors, Isabella went on to refine her skills at culinary schools in Florence and Rome, where she mastered Italian techniques and the art of seasonal cooking.

 

After years of working in renowned Italian kitchens across Italy and the United States, Isabella brought her experience and vision back home. At Rotolo di Sapore, she combines her family recipes with modern techniques, curating a menu that celebrates the essence of Italy while embracing innovative twists. Known for her dedication to quality ingredients and her commitment to offering gluten-free options without sacrificing flavor, Isabella’s dishes are a blend of nostalgia and creativity.

Chef Isabella believes that every dish tells a story, and she brings warmth, authenticity, and a touch of elegance to each plate. Her goal is to make every guest feel like part of her family, sharing in the love and passion that inspired her journey into the world of Italian cuisine.
